New Look

how about new look for this BRC blog eh?

Quiet for a While

It has been 55 days since the last BRC posting on September 4.

Reason being - no image availability due to non-existing of that loyal camera. Anyway, thanks to the phone technology and evolution.. still manage to snap some shots.

And after searching here and there.. only 2 days ago we managed to buy the USB cable for that Nokia 3120 Classic phone. Classic and not that high tech this phone may be.. but.. jadi lah.

Halim dan Nik..

di Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi dan Saladin Citadel, Mesir.

“The Citadel”.. orang banyak menyebutnya begitu.. sebuah benteng peninggalan panglima hebat Shalahudin Al Ayubi.





Siapakah Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi, sosok karismatik yang sangat terkenal dengan keberanian, kelembutan dan kesolehannya?

Pernahkah anda menonton "The Kingdom of Heaven"?

Ya.. itulah serba sedikit keindahan sifat Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi yang digambarkan oleh Hollywood, bagaimana seorang panglima perang yang hebat yang sangat menghindari pertumpahan darah.



Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi membangunkan sebuah benteng yang sekarang ini dikenali sebagai "The Citadel" untuk melindungi Mesir daripada pasukan salib.
Benteng ini dibangunkan antara Kota Kaherah dan Fustat, membentang di atas Bukit Muqatam.
Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi membentengi seluruh kawasan ini pada sekitar tahun 1176 sebagai sebuah benteng pertahanan.
Shalahudin memimpin selama 24 tahun tetapi disebabkan perang salib, beliau hanya tinggal di Mesir selama 8 tahun sahaja.
"The Citadel" ini seolah-olah menjadi sebuah kota tersendiri (mandiri) dan berfungsi sebagai pusat pemerintahan selama kira-kira 700 tahun.




Konon dalam sebuah riwayat pasukan Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi jauh lebih sedikit.. namun hanya menyertakan perajurit-perajurit yang solat berjemaah, selalu membaca al-quran, tidak pernah meninggalkan solat tahajjud, dan yang kuat dalam amalan agama.

Kemenangan sesungguhnya datangnya daripada Allah, bukan dari kekuatan atau kelengkapan senjata dan pertolongan Allah itu datang kerana kesempurnaan Iman dan Amal.

Identity in The Making

BRC agreed to create our own identity and image. Here are some snapshots of what we intended to have and for a start - vest & cap for each BRC bikers.

Thank Allah Almighty.. with the wedding invitation from Pak Abu.. BRC took a ride to Melaka as Pak Abu's entourage. Pak Abu's son is now married to a Melaka lady. And BRC is proud to be there to "meriahkan" the wedding.

Hello Again and Greetings from BRC

It has been sometime since we last published anything to our blog. Work and home commitment really tied us down in updating ourselves. However, some of us did ride to a few places since Penang Bike Week (PBW) last 22 August 2008. Perhaps it is good if we can just share some overview of places that we went for rides since PBW.

13 September 2008
BRC joined Chear Motor Club’s to a “Majlis Buka Puasa Bersama Anak Yatim” at Restoran Tasik Idaman, Bangi, Selangor.

20 September 2008
BRC had their own “Majlis Buka Puasa” at Bagan Lalang, Sepang.

11 October 2008
BRC took a ride to Raub, Pahang attending Rosli’s brother wedding ceremony.

18 October 2008
BRC joined Muar Bikers Club for Hari Raya Open House at Tuan Haji Raof’s house. Tuan Haji Raof is Muar Bikers Club President.

19 October 2005
BRC joined the ride organized by Naza Bikes to Motor GP 2008 at Sepang International Circuit.

20 October 2008
BRC attended the launching ceremony of Harley Davidson Malaysia at Naza Bikes, Petaling Jaya.
